1. About Longbow Insurance Technology

Longbow Insurance Technology (“Longbow”) is a B2B SaaS platform operated by Rehuman Ltd (“Rehuman”), a company registered in England and Wales. Longbow provides automated document processing tools using artificial intelligence to extract, structure, and export data from insurance application forms and policy documents.

2. Regulatory Status

Longbow is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) or any other financial services regulatory body. Rehuman Ltd is a technology company, not a regulated financial services firm.

Specifically, Longbow and Rehuman Ltd:

• Are not insurance providers, brokers, intermediaries, or underwriters
• Are not authorised to sell, arrange, advise on, or underwrite insurance products
• Do not hold any FCA permissions or appear on the FCA Register
• Are not members of any insurance industry compensation or complaints scheme
• Do not hold client money or insurance premiums

3. Nature of the Service

Longbow is a document processing and data management tool. The Platform:

• Extracts data from insurance documents using AI technology (OCR, document parsing, and large language models)
• Structures extracted data into organised schemas for broker review
• Enables brokers to export data to their own systems
• Provides a chatbot that answers questions about the content of uploaded documents

The Platform does not:

• Provide insurance quotes, pricing, or product recommendations
• Arrange, negotiate, or bind insurance contracts
• Provide financial, legal, tax, or professional advice of any kind
• Make underwriting, claims, or coverage decisions
• Act as an intermediary between policyholders and insurers
• Receive, hold, or process insurance premium payments
• Assess or advise on the suitability of any insurance product

4. AI Outputs Are Not Advice

Important: All data extracted by the Longbow platform, including outputs from the Policy Assistant chatbot, are generated by artificial intelligence and are provided for informational and operational purposes only. They do not constitute financial advice, insurance advice, legal advice, or any other form of professional advice.

AI-generated outputs may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. Users are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy and completeness of all extracted data before relying on it for any purpose, including but not limited to policy placement, claims handling, regulatory reporting, or client communications.

Longbow provides citation tracking and side-by-side document viewing to assist with verification, but the responsibility for accuracy lies with the user.

5. Broker Responsibilities

Longbow is designed for use by licensed insurance intermediaries who are authorised and regulated by the FCA (or equivalent regulatory body in their jurisdiction). Broker users remain fully responsible for:

• Compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and FCA rules, including the Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) and the FCA’s Insurance: Conduct of Business sourcebook (ICOBS)
• The accuracy of data entered into their own systems, regardless of whether that data was extracted using Longbow
• Meeting their obligations to clients, including duty of care, fair treatment, and suitability requirements
• Data protection obligations in respect of personal data they process using the Longbow platform
• Maintaining appropriate professional indemnity insurance

6. No Endorsement or Recommendation

Any reference to specific insurance products, insurers, coverage types, or policy terms within the Platform is derived solely from documents uploaded by the user. Longbow does not endorse, recommend, or express any opinion on any insurance product, provider, or coverage arrangement.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Longbow and Rehuman Ltd accept no liability for any loss, damage, or expense arising from:

• Reliance on AI-generated data outputs that have not been independently verified by the user
• Errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in extracted data
• Decisions made or actions taken based on information processed through the Platform
• Any regulatory breach by a user in connection with their use of the Platform

8. Complaints

If you have a complaint about the Longbow platform or our services, please contact us at info@longbowtech.co.uk. We will acknowledge your complaint promptly and aim to resolve it within a reasonable timeframe.

As Longbow is not a regulated financial services firm, complaints about our service are not eligible for referral to the Financial Ombudsman Service. If your complaint relates to an insurance product or advice received from your broker, please contact the broker directly, as they are the regulated entity.
