1. Introduction
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Longbow Insurance Technology platform (“Longbow”, “the Platform”, “the Service”), operated by Rehuman Ltd (“Rehuman”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), a company registered in England and Wales.
By accessing or using the Platform, you confirm that you accept these Terms and agree to comply with them. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.
Where you are accessing the Platform on behalf of an organisation (“Customer”), you represent and warrant that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms, and references to “you” include that organisation.
2. About Longbow
Longbow is a B2B SaaS platform that automates document processing for insurance brokers using artificial intelligence, including optical character recognition (OCR), document parsing, and large language models (LLMs). The Platform extracts, structures, and exports data from insurance application forms and policy documents.
Longbow is not an insurance provider, broker, underwriter, or regulated financial services firm. Please see our Regulatory Disclaimer for full details.
3. Account Registration and Security
To use the Platform, you must register for an account by providing accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must notify us immediately at info@longbowtech.co.uk if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account or any other breach of security.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe have been compromised, are being used in breach of these Terms, or pose a risk to the security of the Platform.
4. Permitted Use
The Platform is intended for use by licensed insurance intermediaries and their authorised employees for the purpose of processing insurance-related documents. You agree to use the Platform only for its intended purpose and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
5. Acceptable Use Restrictions
You must not:
• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation
• Upload documents that you do not have the legal right or authority to process
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform, other accounts, or any systems or networks connected to the Platform
• Introduce viruses, trojans, worms, or other malicious or technologically harmful material
• Use the Platform to process data unrelated to insurance broking activities
• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the Platform
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the Platform
• Sublicense, resell, or redistribute access to the Platform without our prior written consent
• Use the Platform in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair its operation
6. Intellectual Property
Our Intellectual Property
The Platform, including its software, design, features, functionality, documentation, branding, and all related intellectual property, is and remains the exclusive property of Rehuman Ltd (or its licensors). Nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, or interest in the Platform beyond the limited right of use set out herein.
Your Data
You retain all ownership rights in the documents you upload and the data contained within them. By uploading documents to the Platform, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process that data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. This licence terminates when you delete the data or close your account.
AI-Generated Outputs
Data schemas, extracted fields, and other outputs generated by the Platform’s AI processing are derived from your uploaded documents. You own the extracted data outputs. However, the underlying AI models, algorithms, and processing methodologies remain our intellectual property.
7. Accuracy and AI Disclaimer
Important: The Platform uses artificial intelligence to extract and structure data from insurance documents. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated outputs may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies.
You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all extracted data before relying on it, exporting it to third-party systems, or using it for any business purpose. The Platform provides citation tracking and side-by-side document viewing specifically to facilitate this verification.
Longbow does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated outputs, and accepts no liability for decisions made or actions taken based on unverified extracted data.
8. Service Availability
We will use commercially reasonable efforts to make the Platform available and operational. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure access at all times. The Platform may be temporarily unavailable due to scheduled maintenance, unscheduled downtime, or events beyond our reasonable control.
We will endeavour to provide reasonable advance notice of planned maintenance where practicable.
9. Fees and Payment
Access to the Platform may be subject to subscription fees as set out in the applicable order form, pricing schedule, or agreement between us and the Customer. Unless otherwise agreed:
• Fees are payable in advance on the billing frequency specified in the order form
• All fees are exclusive of VAT, which will be added where applicable
• We reserve the right to adjust pricing upon reasonable notice at the start of a new billing period
• Late payments may accrue interest at 4% above the Bank of England base rate
If no separate commercial agreement is in place, the pricing displayed on the Platform or communicated during onboarding shall apply.
10. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for:
• Death or personal injury caused by our negligence
• Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
• Any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by English law
Subject to the above, we shall not be liable for:
• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of profits, revenue, data, business, or anticipated savings
• Loss or damage arising from reliance on AI-generated outputs that have not been verified by the user
• Losses arising from events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure)
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rehuman Ltd, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
• Your use of the Platform in breach of these Terms
• Your upload of documents you did not have the authority to process
• Your reliance on unverified AI-generated outputs
• Any breach of applicable law or regulation in connection with your use of the Platform
12. Data Protection
Our collection and use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy. Where we process personal data on your behalf as a data processor, the terms of our Data Processing Agreement shall apply.
13. Confidentiality
Each party agrees to keep confidential any information received from the other party that is designated as confidential or that reasonably should be understood to be confidential given the nature of the information and the circumstances of disclosure. This obligation does not apply to information that is publicly available, independently developed, or lawfully received from a third party without restriction.
14. Term and Termination
Term
These Terms remain in effect for as long as you have an active account or use the Platform.
Termination by You
You may stop using the Platform and close your account at any time by contacting info@longbowtech.co.uk.
Termination by Us
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform immediately if:
• You breach any material provision of these Terms
• You fail to pay applicable fees when due
• We are required to do so by law or regulatory authority
• We reasonably believe your use poses a security risk to the Platform or other users
Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. We will delete or return your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and, where applicable, Data Processing Agreement. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law) shall continue in effect.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Where we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Platform with at least 30 days’ notice before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, you should stop using the Platform and close your account.
16. General Provisions
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
Jurisdiction
The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms.
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Data Processing Agreement, and any applicable order form, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the use of the Platform.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
Waiver
No failure or delay by us in exercising any right or remedy under these Terms shall constitute a waiver of that right or remedy.
Assignment
You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
